A tough away fixture on Sunday, with North Shields deserving their win after a strong, physical performance.

The hosts created more of the first-half chances and led 3–0 at the break. An early second-half goal made it four, leaving West End with a difficult task.

But the ladies never gave up. A much-improved second half saw them compete well, create chances and score two well-taken goals. As they pushed forward chasing the game, North Shields broke through and won a penalty, which they converted. Some good defending from the hosts prevented West End from adding further goals.
